Hands down, this brush delivers the smoothest finish possible with the fewest brushstrokes. The Merit Max Smooth Finish Brush's synthetic fibers don't swell when used with water-based paints like Chalk Paint, DIY, CeCe Caldwell's, Mud Paint, Milk Paint, etc., so you get a more consistent finish than you do with natural bristles. The bristles are impossibly soft, so the paint glides on like a dream. Great for paint and clear coats like varnishes, glazes and the like.

The Merit Max's all-wood, stub handle is not only super-comfy to use, but perfect for smaller hands (like mine : ) The bristles are epoxied into the an all-metal, oval-shaped ferrule minimizing bristle loss, and maximizing the amount of paint applied with each stroke to save you paint time.

The 2-inch width is the ideal, all-purpose size for most projects—big enough so you don't have to dip your brush a million times, but small enough to maneuver easily in small spaces. The angled tip makes it easy to get into hard-to-reach corners at the back of drawers or under a table where the apron meets the table top.

SPECIAL: Save when you get two brushes. (one for paint and one for clear coats!)
